In the gallery a figure sleeps, surrounded by furniture, books and objects. At the head of the bed a video projects a dream: The sleeper sits on the floor of a stone room with earthen floors, his breath can be seen in the cold room. Lit by lamp light the sleeper methodically cuts paper feathers from piles of old science volumes which surround him using engraved templates and a scalpel. As the feathers are cut they are dropped into a lab vessel filled with molten wax. The video cuts away, and the sleeper is contructing huge waxen wings from wax boiled feathers, layer after layer of text overlapping and embeded with more and more wax. The video cuts away to a dim vision of a cloud filled sky. The video repeats these images silently.
